Sickness Management Absence

Frequent or long-term Sickness Absence will be expensive for any business due to salary costs and the need to provide staff cover.

When employees are off sick, measures can be taken to help them return to and remain in work safely. Intervention from an Occupational Health specialist will provide the necessary advice to assist in this process.

Brunel can manage cases through to a conclusion. This would include:

• Communicating with the manager and employee to clarify the reasons for sickness absence
• Obtaining a GP or specialist's report if required and interpreting that report
• Arranging for the employees so see an Occupational Health Practitioner, Doctor or Nurse
• Providing recommendations to the organisation on fitness for work and providing information and advice to facilitate a speedy return to work
