First Aid within the Health Care Sector

Brunel is accredited by Qualsafe to provide First Aid at Work and Emergency First Aid at Work Courses. As well as the 3 and 2-day First Aid at Work courses and 1-day Emergency First Aid at Work we can provide shorter courses

A very popular course is our 4-hour Basic First Aid course which can be tailored specifically to your needs. Like all of our First Aid courses, it is a mix of practical and scenario based elements. The 1-day Competent Persons course is preferred by clients who need to have the competence of their staff assessed. It covers similar material to that addressed within the 4-hour course, but in greater depth and gives delegates the opportunity to practice their skills to a higher level of competence. We can modify these courses to meet specific requirements (e.g. Paediatric First Aid to include child and baby resuscitation and childhood illnesses).

The formal certificates issued following the above courses are valid for 3-years. To allow First Aid skills and knowledge to be maintained and enhanced in the intervening years, we have developed a number of refresher workshops. These concentrate primarily on using the material covered on previous courses by presenting participants with “real” incidents to deal with.
